Ghost Drops – First Class Funk
Anyone who follows the Canadian cannabis scene closely needs no introduction to Ghost Drops as it’s the hottest product on the market currently. We were lucky enough to get our hands on both offerings from Ghost Drops, but today I’ll be looking at the First Class Funk as I recently picked up a 3.5g jar. First impressions are everything with the stringent and limiting marketing/packaging rules surrounding the cannabis industry. Ghost Drops nailed this category with vibrant pink glass jars and black labelling. This particular lot was labelled as 26.6% THC and total terpenes at 3.12%, with Limonene at 1.30%. Needless to say, I was excited. Upon opening the jar, you are instantly hit with a powerful dank aroma that finishes off with a gassy smell. The buds are big, full of sticky trichomes and bright green. I usually don’t like my weed this moist as I find it clogs up my grinder, but it just added to the whole experience. If I’m paying a premium price, I expect a premium product. Based on the presentation alone, Ghost Drops is worth the money. Ok, I know I’m rambling now. So now I’ve busted it up, and I’m ready to take my favourite bong for a rip. Immediately after exhaling, my first thought was how smooth it was, no coughing fits or funny sounds as I tried to keep the coughing down. The ash burnt white, and the smoke was a nice light colour. I found it to be clean and almost creamy tasting. After a few minutes, I felt the effects. Very uplifting and energetic. I got lost in video games and wanted to do something more productive. The high started slow and quickly ramped up as I was feeling the full effects of the 26% THC.

Ghost Drops classifies First Class Funk as a hybrid, but I found it overwhelmingly Sativa leaning. Ghost Drops another offering, Z Splitter, which is also listed as a hybrid I found to be more Indica leaning but still a hybrid. The high lasted for a good hour and a half and tapered off quickly with no haziness, which was welcoming. In conclusion, if you’re in the market for a treat and enjoy premium cannabis, then Ghost Drops is a brand that I would highly recommend. High THC, white ash, smooth, eco-friendly packaging, pleasant high… you get the picture. Seriously, if you haven’t tried Ghost Drops yet, you should. I will be rebuying this and recommend it to friends and customers looking for an excellent cannabis experience.
